The 42nd annual Elk River Valley 100 (ERV 100) bike event was held on Saturday, September 12, 2015, at Motlow Community College. The Highland Rim Bicycle Club hosted the event that brought around 200 cyclists and their families to the Tullahoma area. The event began at the beautiful Motlow College campus, the weather was perfect, the route was scenic, the food was fantastic, and many riders decided one weekend in Tullahoma was not enough to enjoy all we had to offer.
The Highland Rim Bicycle Club is involved in the Tullahoma community in many ways in addition to promoting cycling for all ages and abilities. We use proceeds from the ERV 100 to encourage the youth of our area by giving a donation to Motlow College for scholar ships. Also we enlist the help of local groups: Boy Scout Troop 158, American Heritage Girls, the Winchester Swim Team and the Franklin County High School ROTC and make a donation to each of these fine organizations.
We would like to give special thanks to our generous sponsors! We are so grateful for your support. Hincapie Sportswear, Premier Neurosurgery & Spine Center, MOAB Bicycles, Harton Regional Medical Center, Creative Outlet Advertising, Southern Community Bank, Road ID, Woody’s Bicycles, Sun-Drop, Hatchett Insurance, Cycle Sonic Arts, Nature’s Bakery, Eye Care Center, Matthew Nichols DDS, Mike Rutherford DDS, Russell Barnett, Mach Tenn Running Club, Sonic, Results Physiotherapy, Chick-fil-A, Life on the Big Chainring, Chris Barstad Photography, Middle Tennessee Amateur Radio Society, and all the Highland Rim Bicycle Club members who volunteered their time to help make the event a success.
