We’re thrilled to announce that our club, the Highland Rim Bicycle Club (HRBC), has teamed up with the Tullahoma Police Department to provide helmets for local students! The Tullahoma Police Department was able to purchase 45 helmets, which will be distributed across all seven Tullahoma schools in Tennessee. These helmets are available to children who ride their bikes to school, helping ensure they can travel safely.

The initiative began when Officer Justin Blackburn, the School Resource Officer (SRO) at East Middle School, reached out to our club after noticing that many young cyclists were not wearing helmets on their rides to school. HRBC’s board responded to this important need, committing funds to help support this safety effort. Together with the Tullahoma Police Department, we share a common goal: protecting our local cyclists and fostering safe biking habits in our community.

We’re proud to work alongside the Tullahoma Police Department and look forward to seeing these helmets go a long way in keeping our young riders safe on their daily journeys!
